Text Message Scams
Smishing is a fraud scam delivered by text message. Scammers may pretend to be a bank, courier, government agency, or local service provider and urge you to click a link, verify information, or make a payment. If you receive an unexpected text asking for personal or financial information, do not click the link. Instead, contact the organization directly using official contact information.
