A Stronger Defence, Closer to Home

For many Alberta organizations, the most significant barrier to cybersecurity isn’t a lack of tools—it’s a lack of connection. While the digital threats we face are global, the most effective solutions are often found right here in our own backyard. We know that travelling to Edmonton for our annual fall event isn't always possible for everyone, but the need for a unified front against cyber threats doesn't stop at city limits.

CyberAlberta is expanding its reach to ensure that geography never stands in the way of collaboration. By bringing our Community of Interest (COI) together in Calgary for the first time, we are moving beyond digital screens and into the same room.

Discover Innovation in Your Backyard

The CyberAlberta COI Meet and Greet is an in-person gathering designed to showcase the strength and growth of Calgary’s cybersecurity community. This event isn't just a meeting; it’s an opportunity to see the future of cyber defence in action.

We are opening the doors to state-of-the-art training facilities right here in Alberta, giving you a firsthand look at the innovative education initiatives shaping our workforce. The afternoon is structured to balance informative insights with open networking, allowing you to engage with the latest training tools and the people driving them forward.

Who this is for

This event is exclusively for confirmed CyberAlberta Community of Interest (COI) members. It is designed for those who are ready to move from individual effort to collective action.

By joining us in Calgary, you will:

  • Expand your local network: Meet face-to-face with fellow COI members based in Southern Alberta to share insights and strategies.
  • Discover Alberta innovation: Get an inside look at state-of-the-art training facilities and local educational programs.
  • Stay informed: Learn more about CyberAlberta’s roadmap and how you can leverage shared resources.
  • Collaborate on solutions: Discuss shared threats and identify opportunities for collective defense in a trusted environment.

CyberAlberta’s role as collaborator

At its core, CyberAlberta is a platform for partnership. We don’t just provide information; we facilitate the connections that make that information actionable. By hosting regional events like this Meet and Greet, we are fulfilling our commitment to be a provincial leader that listens to and supports its members wherever they are located. This work is built by Albertans, for Albertans, ensuring our collective defence is stronger than any individual organization could achieve alone.
